Over the past weeks, Sea Leisure Yachting Group has been present across key marine events in the region, with the objective to show what Sri Lanka’s maritime ecosystem can deliver today, and where it can go next.
For SLYG, these boat shows are not only commercial milestones but strategic touchpoints where operators, suppliers, institutions, and industry stakeholders align around one shared reality: Sri Lanka is becoming a serious marine hub in the Indian Ocean.
Colombo: presenting SLYG as one ecosystem
At the Boat and Marine Show in Colombo Port City, SLYG exhibited as a group through its key operational and production branches: Sail Lanka, Ocean Voyager, and HAVN. Beyond the event itself, what made this participation particularly valuable was the ability to welcome visitors, partners, and officials into one coherent space, with stands that made the group’s structure immediately understandable.
Rather than showcasing separate brands, we chose to appear under one visual identity reflecting how SLYG operates in practice with multiple entities, on different markets but one ecosystem. From the visitor’s perspective, it also created a more meaningful journey, allowing people to move naturally between the group’s different fields, while understanding how they connect.
On one side, Sail Lanka embodied the on-water reality of Sri Lankan marine tourism and hospitality. A key highlight was the company’s overnight and day cruise experiences operating across Sri Lanka’s most sought-after coastal destinations, including Colombo Port City, Mirissa, Trincomalee, and Pasikuda. These offerings are thoughtfully designed to cater to both international visitors and resident guests, delivering world-class comfort, personalized service, and immersive ocean experiences that showcase Sri Lanka as a premier yachting destination in South Asia.
On another, Ocean Voyager highlighted the boatbuilding capability that supports professional operators, with vessels designed around real usage and durability. And through HAVN by SEATEK, the group presented its marine gear and RIB solutions, aligned with practical, mission-ready needs across leisure, hospitality, and professional applications.
Across these three branches, the Colombo show was an opportunity to meet industry professionals, potential partners, returning contacts, and curious visitors interested in the evolution of Sri Lanka’s maritime landscape. It was also a moment to highlight how much local expertise has grown, and how the sector is positioning itself with higher standards, clearer product thinking, and a stronger regional relevance.

From Colombo to the Maldives: extending the conversation with HAVN by SEATEK
Following the Colombo show, HAVN by SEATEK took part in the Maldives Marine Expo. This continuity made sense. Beyond networking value, it aligned with what the group has been building operationally, especially through recent technical projects and repair work in the Maldives. The market is demanding and strongly connected to marine activity year-round, which makes it a natural space for long-term dialogue.
For the group, being present in the Maldives is not about keeping contact about showing up consistently while delivering reliably, and building trust over time through real work, teams and results. The expo was therefore an additional chance to meet or reconnect with stakeholders and to continue positioning Sri Lankan marine capability as an operationally credible and relevant industrial and maritime partner.
One message across all events: Sri Lanka can build, operate, and deliver
These boat shows confirmed the group’s strength that is in the ability to align the diverse brands into a complete value chain, from manufacturing and boatbuilding to on-water operations and practical solutions in the marine field. As a group, we remain committed to a long-term approach investing locally, building skills, supporting industry growth, and creating pathways for Sri Lankans in a sector that is increasingly strategic for the country.
