On 10 September, we were pleased to welcome Industries and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Sunil Handunnetti to our manufacturing site at the Koggala Free Trade Zone.
During the visit, the Minister explored our marine products and gained an insight into our manufacturing processes, equipment, and export operations across the SLYG Group. The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the skills, expertise, and capabilities of our teams and the work we are doing to further develop Sri Lanka’s marine manufacturing sector.
SLYG Group Chairman Pierre Pringiers, Group CEO Koenraad Pringiers, National Enterprise Development Authority Chairman Lakshman Obeysekera, company representatives, and officials from the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka were also present during the visit.
The visit highlighted the growing potential of Sri Lanka’s marine manufacturing industry and the importance of supporting local production, developing skilled talent, and expanding export opportunities.
With a growing focus on local manufacturing and exports, we are proud to contribute to Sri Lanka’s journey towards becoming a stronger regional hub for the marine industry.
